7 20-4-Queen City
Queen City is a Virginia-Perique blend released under the 7-20-4 brand's Briary Blends line. Per the promotional texts, it's based on dark red Virginia Cavendish, with a pronounced proportion of St. James Parish Perique added over it. The resulting taste moves toward dark cocoa, earth, and plum; the spicy sharpness brought by the Perique forms the blend's backbone. It carries no added flavoring, relying on the leaf's own sugar. The brand's name comes from the historical number referencing 1724, the founding year of Manchester, New Hampshire in the US; "Queen City" is that same city's recorded nickname.
