A & C Petersen Caledonian Virginia Flake

Caledonian Virginia Flake is the straight Virginia slice in A & C Petersen's Caledonian line. It's obtained by pressing and slicing unflavored Virginia leaf; its sweetness comes entirely from the leaf itself and the maturation during pressing. Since it's a flake cut, it's packed by rubbing out or folding, and it burns slowly. Its production has ended; examples found on the market today are mostly aged old tins — indeed, tins dated 1992 appear in records.
