Anthony Cranswick Grey Castle

Anthony Cranswick Grey Castle is an old-style English blend with Oriental tobaccos in the foreground. It contains bright and fire-cured Virginias, Oriental leaf, and Syrian Latakia. It carries no added flavoring; records indicate it was sold in 100-gram tins and is no longer on the market today. The blend is known not for a high Latakia ratio, but for the leather- and soot-evoking character of Syrian Latakia specifically. Moisture is low and the smoke is dry; records note a tendency toward tongue bite if not smoked slowly.
