Bengal Slices Bengal Slices Single Barrel
Bengal Slices Single Barrel is a limited version that keeps the brand's classic skeleton: sweet, bright Virginias, fragrant Oriental leaves, and a measured amount of Cyprus Latakia come together. Its difference lies in the preparation stage; records say the blend is rested for about a month in a single freshly-emptied bourbon barrel, then pressed and turned into a crumble cake. As a result, the tobacco carries a sweet top note sourced from oak and grain rather than the liquor itself. In the smoke, Latakia's soot-and-leather axis is balanced by Virginia's sugary taste; the Orientals open a dry, spicy layer in the middle. The barrel history doesn't make the blend aromatic — it only adds a sweet frame without disturbing the English character. Since it comes in cake form, it needs to be rubbed out before smoking, and aired for a while depending on moisture.
