CAO Black is a black-cavendish-forward blend in the brand's aromatic pipe tobacco line. Its base is formed by steam-processed black cavendish and flue-cured virginia; a raspberry-based flavoring is applied on top, leaving vanilla and cocoa notes behind. The cut is ribbon and the tobacco comes moist; a brief airing before lighting eases things for most smokers.
