Victorian Mixture is a ribbon-cut blend that combines pressed, darkened light and dark Virginia leaves with Louisiana Perique. Air-curing and pressing give the leaf a soft foundation, while Perique adds a spicy, slightly tart turn to the blend; the flavor sits between medium and full, with no casing used. The blend is offered under the Charatan name as the counterpart to take the place of Dunhill's Elizabethan Mixture. The brand is British in origin, though production today is carried out in continental Europe.
