Craven Aromatic is the aromatic product of the brand named after the mixture nineteenth-century London tobacconist Carreras prepared for the third Earl of Craven. Today it's sold in the UK in 25-gram packs under the name Craven Original. The ribbon-cut blend is built on Burley and Virginia leaf; it's flavored with a casing the maker doesn't disclose, and its description notes a sweet top note. Strength and flavor intensity are low, with a measured casing; Burley's dry texture, close to milky cocoa, comes to the front.
