Three Sails is a light-bodied, English-style blend made purely of flue-cured Virginia leaf. Its distinguishing feature is a very fine cut, which allows for a tighter pack in the bowl. Per the maker's description, careful leaf selection and processing method shape the blend's character. On the palate, citrus tartness and dry-hay sweetness lead; the profile stays consistent throughout the smoke, and the leaf ashes down with minimal relighting. It carries no casing. It also serves as a base tobacco in other blends.
