Dan Tobacco Hamborger Veermaster

Hamborger Veermaster is an unflavored flake pressed purely from golden Virginia leaf. Its name comes from a mid-nineteenth-century German sea shanty about a four-masted sailing ship setting out from the port of Hamburg. The maker positions it as a traditional English-style Virginia flake. The flavor is naturally sweet but not syrupy; dry hay, bread, and light citrus tones come forward. It burns slowly and evenly, giving a cool smoke. Strength and flavor sit at a medium level.
