Drucquer & Sons King's Fool

King's Fool is an English mixture where light-colored warm-air-cured leaf and full red Virginia build the backbone, with a small amount of latakia added on top. The mixture also includes a small proportion of burley, cavendish and St. James perique; the blend is pressed and then sliced into flake. Because the latakia proportion is kept low, the taste line brings forward Virginia sweetness and burley's dry, nutty texture, while the smoke stays as a fine layer in the background. Like the rest of the line, this mixture was also reorganized from old Drucquer recipes, and per records is produced at Cornell & Diehl through Gregory Pease's work.
