E. Hoffman Company Spilman Mixture

Spilman Mixture is E. Hoffman Company's classic English mixture. Virginia, latakia, Turkish orientals and cube-cut burley are used together; the coarse cut nods to pipe tobacco habits of the early last century. Since latakia, Virginia and burley are kept in balanced proportions, the blend gives a taste ranging between roasted hazelnut and open-air burning wood. Per the brand's history, E. Hoffman & Co. was founded in Chicago in 1857 by Edward Hoffman; after the founder's death the products were off the market for decades, and Spilman Mixture was brought back into production with its original tin design revived.
