G. L. Pease Cairo (Original Mixtures)

Cairo is an untopped blend combining Virginia and Oriental leaves in a ribbon cut, with a small amount of Perique added. It sits on the Virginia-Oriental axis within G. L. Pease's Original Mixtures line. The flavour is built on Virginia's natural sweetness and the Oriental leaf's spicy, oily character; the Perique topping adds a peppery depth, which may stand out to a smoker unfamiliar with this leaf. Loose loading gives a smoky, cool smoke, while tight loading gives a longer, more flavour-intense one.
