Embarcadero is an untopped blend in G. L. Pease's Fog City Selection line, built from Virginia and Turkish Oriental leaf. After pressing, it is presented in broken-flake form. The producer states the Oriental leaf in the blend is of Izmir origin. Virginia stands out with both sweet and pronounced tobacco taste; Izmir leaf's oily, sweet character sits alongside it without overpowering it, keeping the sweet and spicy notes in balance. Records note it arrives moist from the tin; airing it thoroughly both lengthens the smoke and opens up the flavours.
