Dark Virginia Cavendish, listed as DVC for short in the brand's catalog, is obtained by darkening light hot-air-cured Virginia leaf through an extended Cavendish process using ample steam. This process removes a significant portion of the leaf's harsher elements and leaves a mild, cool-burning base. In the Liquorice version, a licorice-root-based flavoring is added to this base. It's ribbon cut, easy to pack and light. Nicotine is light; the taste is built between the mild Virginia sweetness and licorice's dark, sweetish note.
