Kendal Cloves is an aromatic blend where a clove topping is applied to the Kendal Mixed shag base. Virginia and Burley leaf are cut into fine strands; the base tobacco carries an earthy, sweet character with a dry-hay association. Clove adds an intense, spicy layer, leaving a pronounced sharpness on the palate. Nicotine is low and the smoke cool, but since the fine cut burns fast, it needs to be smoked slowly.
