Gawith, Hoggarth & Co. Kendal Gold Strawberry

Kendal Gold is one of the shag-cut main bodies produced at Gawith, Hoggarth & Co.'s Kendal workshop in Cumbria. Its base is a fine golden-hued cut of flame-cured bright Virginia leaf; the producer states it uses no other tobacco type in this series, only cleanly cut Virginia. The Kendal Gold body is offered with numerous different flavorings, and Kendal Gold Strawberry is this family's strawberry-flavored member. The strawberry flavoring is pronounced in the jar, more measured on the smoke; the Virginia body's citrusy sweetness stays in the background. The fine cut lights easily and needs frequent tamping.
