Gawith, Hoggarth & Co. Kendal Virginia

Kendal Virginia is an unflavored tobacco of clean-cut pure Virginia leaf, belonging to the same family as the house's shag-cut products like Kendal Gold and Kendal Dark. Gawith, Hoggarth & Co. runs both topped and untopped versions of this line side by side; this entry is the unflavored wing, so the taste comes entirely from the leaf selection: bready sweetness, a light herbal quality, and a citrusy sharpness. The very fine shag cut lights the tobacco easily but tends to burn fast, so a slow, even draw is needed to prevent it from burning hot.
