Gawith, Hoggarth & Co. Sliced Brown Bogie Aromatic

Sliced Brown Bogie Aromatic is the lightly flavored, factory-sliced version of the producer's brown bogie rope, twisted from fire-cured leaf. Structurally it rests on the same base as the unflavored bogie; the difference is the sweet topping applied to the leaf during production. On the smoke, the smoky, earthy, leather-reminiscent core of the fire-curing is preserved, with a fine sugary sweetness layered on top. Nicotine stays high; it needs to be thinly sliced and smoked slowly. Gawith, Hoggarth & Co. is one of the English producers that continues traditional twist (rope) production at its Kendal factory, hand-twisting fire-cured leaves into rope form. Because twist tobaccos don't go through a pressure-cooking stage, they stay intense in nicotine; records indicate these ropes are sold for both chewing and pipe smoking.
