Ilsted Own Mixture Dark Fired Plug

Dark Fired Plug is the fullest-bodied member of the Ilsted line. It's built from fire-cured Kentucky along with leaves of Malawian and Indian origin; the blend is pressed into a block and sold as a plug, a cut that's rarely encountered today. The plug needs to be sliced and rubbed out before smoking, but in return gives a slow, cool burn. Smokiness, wood smoke, and earthy taste lead, with sweetness staying in the background. It appears to have been out of stock at retailers for a long time.
