Beowulf is one of the English-style mixtures from the small-scale American blender Jack Lee Blend. Latakia forms the smoky backbone, and Virginia carries sweetness; past the middle of the bowl, a sweet-spicy clove note appears, along with hints of ripe plum and dark chocolate, backed by a light honey sweetness. The burn is cool, and it's considered mild in terms of tongue bite. It's noted as one of the blender's late-period products, with production said to have stopped after US tobacco regulations changed; there is no new production today.
