Levin Pipes International British Woods

British Woods is a dark oriental mixture prepared by McClelland for Barry Levin's Vermont-based Levin Pipes International brand. Over generous latakia, spice from Macedonian-sourced oriental leaves and measured sweetness from matured Virginia are layered; the components are rested together in their own juices for months before being tinned. It's marketed as a slow-burning, cool-smoking, medium-to-full-bodied blend. After Levin's death the recipe was carried on by McClelland in its own catalog, and production ended entirely when the company closed in 2018.
