Amphora Mellow Blend is one of the lightly flavored members of the Amphora family. Per the manufacturer's recipe, the blend's body is built from burley and Virginia leaves; selected oriental tobaccos provide balance. Turkish sources note that Kentucky leaf is also part of the mix. It's a ready rubbed/ribbon cut, meaning it's prepared fine enough to pack directly. The brand originates in the Netherlands and is produced today by Danish Mac Baren. The mint casing applied on top is not enough to create a pronounced menthol effect; it stays as a background coolness that doesn't mask the tobacco's own taste. In the smoke, the oriental leaf's dry, spicy line and the earthy, nutty tones of Kentucky and burley come forward. It sits in the medium band for nicotine.
