Mac Baren Original Choice

Original Choice is the first member of the Choice series Mac Baren began in 1998. Per the maker, Virginia and Burley leaves sourced from North and South America are blended with the brand's Virginia-derived black Cavendish. It's presented as ribbon cut and carries a sweet, fruit-leaning top note. On opening the pack, the fruity aroma characteristic of Mac Baren Cavendish stands out. In the smoke, Virginia's weight is felt, and since the Burley proportion is low, body and nicotine stay measured. Since the tobacco can arrive moist, airing it out overnight reduces volatile flavoring and lets the taste balance settle; once aired, it can be smoked start to finish without going out.
