Mac Baren Rum & Maple

Rum & Maple is one of the old names in American aromatic tradition, now produced by Sutliff within Mac Baren. The body of the ribbon-cut blend is built by nutty, earthy Burley; bright Virginia leaves are added to give it clarity. The two flavorings the name comes from, maple syrup and rum, are applied as a topping over the leaves. The smoke is mild and cool, with nicotine load kept low. In taste, the flavoring's sweetness stands out more than the leaf character; maple is the main axis, with rum as a sharp accent behind it. The gap between the tin note and the smoked taste is what's expected of aromatics.
