Black Sea Sokhoum is a member of McClelland's Grand Orientals series, which spotlights single-varietal Oriental tobaccos. The blend's core is Samsun-origin tobacco grown in Georgia, joined by Virginia; the cut is ribbon. From the tin, alongside the brand's familiar tangy-sweet aroma, a pronounced cigarette smell comes through, and this character is reflected in the flavor too. The Oriental tobacco's exotic, spicy side reaches its most intense point when the pipe is half smoked; the Virginia's sweetness sets the overall balance.
