McClelland Brindle Flake

Brindle Flake is an unflavored Virginia blend obtained by pressing flue-cured Virginia leaves into cake, aging them, and then slicing. Since the cakes are partly broken up before going into the tin, it comes as broken flake, which makes packing and lighting easier and lets the tobacco burn evenly. Rather than complex layers, the smoke follows a plain, direct line: Virginia's natural sweetness and pure leaf taste stand out, with no flavoring added. Nicotine dose is kept at a medium level, not fatiguing. McClelland Tobacco Company halted production in early 2018, so the blend is no longer made.
