McClelland Christmas Cheer 2008

Christmas Cheer 2008 is the release prepared from the 2008 crop in McClelland's annual unflavored Virginia series. The series' method stays the same every year: select orange-red flue-cured leaf is pressed into cake, matured, sliced, and tinned as broken flake. In the smoke, without any flavoring, the leaf's natural sweetness stands out along with a bready base; nicotine dose is medium. The series' well-known sharp tin note is present in this release too. Since releases are made from a single crop, character differs between years and continues to shift with cellaring. The brand closed in 2018.
