McClelland Christmas Cheer 2012

Christmas Cheer 2012 is the 2012 release of McClelland's single-crop annual Virginia series. Select flue-cured Virginia leaves are pressed into cake, matured, sliced, and partly broken up before being tinned as broken flake; this form eases packing and lighting. The blend is unflavored, and its taste rests on the leaf's own sugar: a sweet-tart Virginia line over a bready base. The sharpness in the tin note is a well-known trait of the brand. Production ended in 2018.
