McClelland Drama Reserve (Grand Orientals)

Drama Reserve is a member of McClelland's Grand Orientals series, which spotlights single-region Orientals, taking its name from the tobacco of Greece's Drama region. In the blend, Oriental tobaccos are joined by Virginia, with no Latakia or flavoring. It was sold in small 50-gram tins. In the smoke, a spicy, cigarette-like flavor typical of Oriental tobaccos leads; the sweet-tart tone characteristic of McClelland's leaves rides atop it. Leaving an oily texture on the palate reminiscent of olive oil is a commonly noted trait. It burns even and easy, giving a cool smoke that doesn't bite the tongue, with a light-colored ash; nicotine dose is medium.
