McClelland No. 2025 English Cavendish
No. 2025 English Cavendish, part of the 2000 series in McClelland's bulk catalog, is unflavored despite the word "cavendish" in its name — here, cavendish describes leaf processed with heat and pressure rather than a flavoring. Per the maker's description, lemon-colored Brazilian leaf and orange-toned Middle Belt Virginia are prepared as small flake pieces, topped with Xanthi Oriental. The small flake structure lets the tobacco be rubbed out easily by hand and burn evenly. Its character sits between light and medium, with Virginia's sweetness upfront, supported by the Oriental's tangy-spicy edge. Since it contains no Latakia, it lacks the smoky weight of heavy English blends. McClelland Tobacco Company stopped production in 2018, so the blend is no longer on the market.
