McClelland No. 2030 #1 Grade Balkan

No. 2030 is a classic-style, medium-bodied Balkan blend in McClelland's bulk catalog. Per the maker's description, stoved Virginia ribbons, Cyprian Latakia, lemon-colored Carolina leaf, and Greek Orientals are brought together. The Latakia share is balanced against a weight of Oriental that sets it apart from an English mixture; the Balkan designation comes from this Oriental dominance. Over the smoky Latakia base, the Oriental's tangy-smoky tones and the stoved Virginia's dark sweetness can be heard. Discontinued when the brand closed in 2018.
