Nat Sherman 536 Empire English

536 Empire English was the only Latakia-containing example among Nat Sherman's house blends. It is described as a coarse-cut, unflavored English blend; the Virginia base is joined by Oriental leaf, a notable amount of Burley, and a measured share of Latakia. Records indicate the Latakia proportion was kept restrained, placing the blend in the light English category. The taste rests on the sweet and spicy notes coming from the leaves themselves; no top-note flavoring is applied. The aroma released on opening the tin has been compared to the now-discontinued Dunhill Early Morning Pipe.
