Richmond Navy Cut is a light-colored flake blend prepared entirely from matured Virginia leaves left in their natural state. The pressed leaf is cut into thin slices; no flavoring is applied. It has long been available in the European market in 50-gram packs. Its taste rests on Virginia's own sweetness; sugar and herbal sides come forward, with strength staying moderate. Being a flake, it needs rubbing out or folding before packing and rewards a slow smoking pace.
