Holiday Season is Peterson's limited-edition, Christmas-themed aromatic tin series released each year; the 2012 edition was presented in a 100 gram tin. In this edition, various Virginia leaves are blended with three distinct black Cavendishes, bringing forward hazelnut, caramel, and baked apple notes. Peterson is an Irish brand, but the blending and production of these special tins is outsourced; records indicate they were made by Kohlhase, Kopp & Co. to a recipe specified by Peterson. The cut is described as broadly cut. Because the recipe changes each year, every edition of the series counts as a distinct blend; the 2012 tin was likewise prepared for its release year and never reprinted.
