Peterson Nightcap

Nightcap is a classic English blend carried over from the Dunhill era and today continued under the Peterson name. A generous amount of Cyprus Latakia and Oriental leaf sit atop a Virginia base, with a small proportion of Perique added. It is a ribbon cut; under a smoky, earthy main body there is a creamy sweetness from the Virginia and a peppery sharpness from the Perique. As its name suggests, it is designed for the last pipe of the day: a blend heavy in nicotine that lingers long on the palate. It is heavy going for new smokers starting out with aromatic tobacco. The room note is pronounced and needs care indoors.
