Player's Navy Cut Flake

Navy Cut Flake is a classic navy-cut flake in which light and dark Virginia leaf are combined with nutty Burley and cold-pressed. The slices carry golden veins over a brown ground; a small amount of rum is used during pressing, leaving a dark sugar-like sweetness without overtaking the tobacco. On the taste side, Virginia's herbal, tangy, cooked-fruit-like character leads, while Burley fills the gaps and rounds off the texture. Nicotine stays more measured than expected. The navy-cut name historically comes from sailors rolling and slicing tobacco into a rope.
