Robert McConnell Marylebone

Marylebone is one of the Robert McConnell brand's ribbon-cut English blends. A Virginia body is joined by latakia and Oriental leaf as well as black cavendish; this fourth component softens the blend's smoky side and gives the smoke a round, lightly sweet foundation. Per the producer's description, the components are balanced so none overpowers the others, and the smoke is cool with a full body. It is neither as smoky as a pure Balkan mixture nor as sweet as an aromatic. The Robert McConnell name rests on an old English tobacco house rooted in London and Belfast; the brand is produced today under the German Kohlhase & Kopp umbrella.
