Robert McConnell Scottish Flake

Scottish Flake is an unflavored flake blend of Virginia leaf with Kentucky and Perique added, then pressed. The slices are dark and oily in appearance; because tin moisture runs high, letting it rest balances moisture and flavor. It packs and burns without trouble. It offers a cool smoke. Alongside quality Virginia sweetness there is a spicy layer pointing to the Oriental leaf in the blend. The Kentucky and Burley character is hard to distinguish individually but adds fullness to the body. Strength and flavor sit in the medium range.
