Robert McConnell Virginia 5 Year Matured

Robert McConnell is an English brand rooted in London, now produced in Germany by Kohlhase & Kopp. Virginia 5 Year Matured, as its name suggests, is an unflavored single-varietal blend of long-aged Virginia leaf, pressed and then sliced into flake. Its character rests on the bready sweetness of Virginia's own sugars, along with dry-hay and light fruit tones. Nicotine is measured; smoked slowly it leaves no sharpness on the tongue. Reports note the sweetness increases with jar aging.
