Samuel Gawith Balkan Plug

Balkan Plug is a Latakia-forward blend the Samuel Gawith factory in Kendal offers in plug form. A high proportion of latakia and Oriental leaf is pressed onto a Virginia base into a tight block, leaving the slicing and crumbling to the smoker. The firm is known for continuing old pressing methods at its Kendal facilities, running since 1792. The flavor profile is built on soot, cedar, and dry spice; Virginia's sweetness plays a balancing role in the background. Nicotine is measured, flavor intensity high.
