Samuel Gawith Finest Kendal Twist Black

Finest Kendal Twist Black is the dark-colored member of the twist tradition Samuel Gawith continues in Kendal. The leaf is twisted into rope, aged for a long time to darken, and sold in wheel form; the smoker cuts coin-thick slices and crumbles them. Its smoke is intense, earthy, and structured to bring forward the tobacco's own taste; nicotine load is high. It requires good drying and slow smoking.
