Pure Izmir Turkish Leaf is, as the name suggests, a single-leaf product: Izmir Oriental tobacco grown in the Aegean region, presented in a coarse ribbon cut. Samuel Gawith offers this leaf not as a blend but as raw material; it contains no virginia, latakia, or casing. Its character carries the Oriental leaf's typical traits: dry hay, spice, and a lightly sour citrus tone, low nicotine, a cool burn. Smoked alone it stays thin and light-bodied.
