Sterling Tobacco Co My Buddy

My Buddy is the blend Sterling Tobacco Company classifies as a light English mixture. Per the maker's description, only a touch of latakia is added to what is otherwise a naturally aromatic Virginia-and-burley mixture; the goal is to give the latakia flavor without its heavy room note. Keeping the latakia ratio low moves the blend away from the smoke wall of English mixtures; Virginia's sweetness and burley's dry body come forward, with smoke remaining only a background line. Records indicate the blend also contains a small amount of cigar leaf along with a light casing. Nicotine is medium.
