W.O. Larsen 155Th Anniversary

155th Anniversary is a release prepared for the 155th year of the W.Ø. Larsen name, tied to the brand's Craftsmans Edition series. Each of these blends, referencing the company's Danish pipe tobacco tradition dating to 1864, is designed for a specific year. Virginia leaves make up the bulk of the blend, joined by Burley of African and Central American origin. Most of the Virginias are pressed into flake and then rubbed out, offered as ready-rubbed, giving a slower, more even burn. The light-colored Virginia pieces and dark Burley leaves create contrast both in appearance and taste: Virginia brings sweet and tart, Burley a dry, nutty side. Flavoring isn't pronounced. Nicotine runs at a medium level.
