Directory of British Pipe Brands (1/2)

An alphabetical directory of pipe brands originating in Great Britain; this first part introduces the 93 brands between A. Frankau & Co. and Page in short entries.

The Directory of British Pipe Brands brings together, in a single alphabetical list, pipe brands made in Britain or stamped on behalf of British firms. British pipe making grew in the second half of the nineteenth century with the spread of briar, and alongside a handful of large factories around London, hundreds of tobacconist shops had pipes made under their own name.

Because of this, a significant portion of the names in this list are not independent workshops but shop brands or second-quality lines ordered from well-known manufacturers. The directory comes in two parts; this first part covers the 93 brands between A. Frankau & Co. and Page.
