Abenaki Tobacco Co. New Castle English

New Castle English is one of Abenaki Tobacco's two English mixtures. Per the maker's recipe, African- and Turkish-origin leaf is brought together with Virginia; Latakia is added only enough not to overpower the blend. The brand describes this mixture as the mildest among its Latakia products. The Oriental leaf adds a dry, grassy, faintly tangy edge to the blend, while the Virginia sets the sweet base. Abenaki Tobacco was based in Conway, New Hampshire; the brand's own sales site isn't live today.
