Alfie Turmeaus 1817 Blend
Turmeaus is a tobacconist house founded in Liverpool in 1817; the name 1817 given to the blend also references this founding year. Selected Virginia leaves form the mixture's body, with smoky Latakia and a smaller proportion of Turkish-origin Oriental added. This produces a measured interpretation of the classic English mixture scheme: Virginia sweetness sets the base, Latakia smoke provides the frame, and the Oriental gives a spicy, tangy top note. Even before lighting, the smoke scent is noticeable on opening. It's presented in a 50-gram tin.
