Chacom Grand Cru

Grand Cru is one of the blends offered under its own name by Chacom, the French pipe manufacturer dating back to 1825; though the brand's origin is France, tobacco production is carried out in other countries. Per the seller's description, steamed red and bright virginia leaves are combined with sugared and unsugared black cavendish; a small amount of perique is added, with molasses and vanilla used as the top flavoring. The result is a record sitting between aromatic and Virginia, where virginia's bready sweetness and vanilla's pronounced top note stand together. The perique share is small and leaves a dark-fruited, lightly spicy depth; nicotine stays moderate.
