Charles Fairmorn Dark Fired Shag

Dark Fired Shag is a nearly black, very finely shag-cut Virginia tobacco. The leaf is darkened through a steaming process; this process files down the leaf's sharpness, leaving a deep, full flavor that is not harsh on the tongue. Because of the fine cut it catches quickly, so it should not be packed tightly when filling. Charles Fairmorn is a German firm whose origins are traced to an old Lübeck tobacco import house; it was founded in Hamburg in 1978, moved to Dingelstädt in 1996, and to Lübeck in 2006.
