Crooner is an American classic pairing cube-cut burley with deertongue herb. Per Cornell & Diehl, the blend is a reconstruction of a private mixture prepared for singer Bing Crosby; the recipe comes from Bob Runowski, who blended for Crosby. The cube-cut burley burns slowly, giving a nutty, dry body; deertongue adds a sweetish aroma and flavor layer somewhere between vanilla and hay.
